In March 2016 Campaign Nonviolence held a Conference call to organize and prepare for the Week of Nonviolent Actions, September 18-25, 2016.  On the call we heard from teacher and nonviolence trainer Robin Wildman who has helped implement nonviolence education into her elementary school.  If you missed that call, you can listen here.  Below is a training she will be holding in July with the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence.

Join us as we create Nonviolent classrooms and schools!

Participants will learn how to:

★ Decrease time spent on discipline, allowing more time to teach

★ Create a positive learning community

★ Instill values based on Dr. King’s Six Principles

★ Reconcile conflicts using Dr. King’s Six Steps

★ Improve the climate and culture in schools and classrooms

Trainers are Robin Wildman, 5th grade teacher at Broad Rock School in South Kingstown with 15 years classroom experience implementing Kingian Nonviolence. Sal Monteiro, Jr., Director of Training at the Institute for the Study and Practice of and Nonviolence, practitioner for 20 years.

For successful implementation we recommend that each school send a team of 3-5 staff members who are committed to attend all 4 sessions.

$100.00 fee includes training manual, printed materials, and continental breakfast
