Participants will explore nonviolence: What does it mean, how is it used, and how good-hearted, well-intentioned individuals can disagree yet still work together. What is the difference between passivity and active nonviolence? What is empowered peacemaking?

INCLUDES BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TRAINING: What to do when you’re alone and see someone being harassed.

Participants will learn and gain practice in specific skills and tools that are useful both in conflict intervention situations and in daily life.  This training has been scheduled as part of the celebration of PeaceQuest week.  We welcome people interested in serving on Domestic Peace Teams, our International Peace Teams, and/or those simply interested in picking up new skills and tools for daily life in a conflict-filled world.

Participants are required to make the entire training in order to foster trust and community throughout the day.
